STREET TREES

Street Trees

Homeowner and Association Responsibilities

MAINTENANCE

The street trees that are planted in the easement along the roadways within Tartan Fields Golf Club Community Association are the property of the Association. The Association is responsible for maintenance of the street trees as the Association deems necessary.

It is the responsibility of the annually elected Board of Trustees to enforce these rules and regulations, and establish other governing guidelines and policies as the recorded Declarations and Code of Regulations allows.

MULCHING

Mulching of the street trees is the responsibility of the homeowner. Please see the following information regarding mulching from www.treesaregood.org:

As beneficial as mulch is, too much can be harmful. The generally recommended mulching depth is 2 to 4 inches (5 to 10 cm). Unfortunately, many landscapes are falling victim to a plague of over-mulching. “Mulch volcanoes” are excessive piles of mulch materials applied around the base of trees.

Tree Assessment and Management Plan

The Tartan Fields Homeowners Association requested an inventory of all trees located along roadways and in any common areas.  To read the full report and management plan click here.
